Women’s Health (Obstetrics & Gynecology)

At any age, women have unique medical needs. Our highly skilled obstetricians and gynecologists are all board certified and offer comprehensive care for women from adolescence through menopause. Our services include care for pregnancy, menopause and all forms of contraception; minimally invasive in-office procedures for excessive menstrual bleeding, tubal ligations and incontinence; and state-of-the-art minimally-invasive gynecological surgery using the robotic da Vinci S Surgical System technology. We offer three convenient locations for care you can trust.

Phone Calls

Phone calls are accepted Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. If you need to speak with a physician after hours, please leave a message with the answering service to have the physician on call paged. The doctor will return your call as soon as possible. If you have an emergency, please go the closest Emergency Room or call 911!

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call the office so that we can use the time to accommodate other patients. You should bring your current insurance card, a photo ID, and any completed patient forms with you to all appointments.

Patient Privacy/Confidentiality

All Southwest General Medical Group, Inc. practices are HIPAA compliant. All patients are asked to read our Privacy Policy.

Prescriptions and Refills

If you need to renew a prescription, you or your pharmacist may call our office. We request 24-48 hours notice for prescription refills so that we can be sure to accommodate the needs of our patients. Same day renewals are available if you are completely out of your medication.

The following information will be needed for the prescription request/refill:

  • Name of medication
  • Strength of medication
  • How often medication is to be taken
  • Quantity needed (30 day or 90 day)
  • Date on which the prescription was last filled
  • Pharmacy phone number
  • Pharmacy fax number (if you are requesting that the Rx be faxed into pharmacy)
  • Phone number where the patient can be reached, in case we need to contact the patient that day

Test Results

Once your physician has received and reviewed your test results, we will contact you by phone with the results using our Secure Reach message system. Our goal is to get test results to you within one week after your physician has signed off on them. If you have questions about your test results, please contact our office.

Hospital Care and Outpatient Services

Southwest General Medical Group, Inc. physicians are affiliated with Southwest General and offer hospital care and outpatient services at the hospital’s Main Campus or at its conveniently located facilities in Brunswick, Middleburg Heights and Strongsville.

Insurance

Southwest General Medical Group, Inc. physicians are approved providers for many insurance plans. However, it is your responsibility as a patient to contact your insurance company by calling the member services phone number to verify that the physician you are scheduling with is an approved provider on your insurance plan. Please bring your current insurance card and a photo ID with you to all appointments.

Referrals/Pre-certifications

If you need to see a specialist, your insurance company may require a referral. It is your responsibility as a patient to determine if your insurance requires a referral, to verify that the specialist is on your plan, and to obtain a referral before visiting the specialist.

Billing/Payment Information

Co-pays are expected at the time of your visit, when checking in for your appointment. Self-pay patients will be asked for payment in full at the time of service. Please bring your insurance card with you to each visit for verification. Please notify us of home address, phone number and/or insurance changes. This will allow for proper contact and billing.
